Brian, my roommate for the summer and one of my best friends has decided he wants to play NACC. He hasn't played many WOW events(the last was the stand alone DMF held here in vegas a few years ago), but he is an experienced TCG'er. Together, we've been able to crank out a ton of games with various decks, ranging from emek to Ivan bladewind and gyro. We've also tested velindre and more aggressive mage decks. A few observations from the countless games played: 1. The presence of both [Mikael the Blunt] and [Broderick langforth] make aggro decks unplayable. These two are an auto include in 95% of decks. 2. The aggressive decks play more like midrange decks. This makes the format a lot more grindy, which should reward the player with the most preparation. 3. The rogue list that stu wright won his realm champs list is awesome. dimzer and [tuskar kite] in one deck! yes please! This deck has trouble with some of the more aggressive decks like emek and warrior builds, but has good game against most other decks in the format. Stu's list is what I would play if I had to play tomorrow. I'm heading to socal for a quick visit, but by the time I get back to las vegas there should be a good number of people in for the tournament. That's where the fun really begins. Hopefully the time alone on the drive will give me time to figure out what to play. niles
