Not likely... I COME TO PLAY! http://www.dailymetagame.com/Blogs/tabid/134/EntryId/26/DMF-Philly-Judge-Not-likely-I-COME-TO-PLAY.aspx
Many of you know me from the various events I have judged over the past five plus years for this great game we all play. However, I'm sure there are many more of you who don't know me. Well, my name is William Zobac aka Zo. I'm a thirty-one year old college professional. I work in information technology and I play, judge and volunteer for Cryptozoic and the World of Warcraft Trading card game.

I am the most active CZE Volunteer for the Dallas / Fort Worth area of Texas. I currently attend and run four battlegrounds every week. I plan to get many more up and running in the area over the next few years.

At this past Gencon, I came to a realization that I love judging but I miss playing competitively. I always wanted to play at the highest levels of competition, but after a year of failure when the game first came out, I realized I just wasn't good enough to compete at the level of play that I thirsted for. Luckily for me, there was a man who convinced me that I could still participate and judge at the highest levels for this great game. I owe my judging career to Mr. Simon Key and I'll never forget all of the things he has done for me.

At Gencon this past August, Rob Swarowski, felt the need to let me know that I was a judge because I was a bad player. He then proceeded to top eight the DMF and prove he wasn't a total scrub. So now, I feel like I have to prove myself a good player in my own right. To that end, I am travelling to Philadelphia this comming September to compete in the last DMF in the states that will have a top 8 cut. My hope is that I can prove that I have that indefinable stuff, that play skill that will once and for all prove, some judges can actually play we just chose to judge becasue of our love for the game.

So, wish me luck or hope me failure but either way, come on out and try to crush my dreams as I traverse the mental mind field that is Darkmoon Faire Philly. See you there.

P.S. Rob... I'm comming for ya.. and HELLS COMING WITH ME!!!

More ... http://www.dailymetagame.com/Blogs/tabid/134/EntryId/26/DMF-Philly-Judge-Not-likely-I-COME-TO-PLAY.aspx#Comments 0 http://www.dailymetagame.com/Blogs/tabid/134/EntryId/26/DMF-Philly-Judge-Not-likely-I-COME-TO-PLAY.aspx Mon, 29 Aug 2011 20:53:00 GMT http://www.dailymetagame.comDesktopModules/BlogTrackback.aspx?id=26
