Crazy ideas were born to fruition in my mind's nest, feeding off of each other until only one bloated idea remained. I quickly passed this idea onto my associate Martin Clement, but we both agreed it was promising and worth looking into.

Most people I talked to after Element's release agreed that there was very little in its crinkled foil boosters that would impact Core, at least not whilst the power house of Drums was still beating through the tournament scene. As such most of the guys I test with were caught completely off guard by the Egg deck, and now we know there won't be changes made prior to EUCC we're rushing for answers.

We don't really think many good players will turn up with it, even with the short hand code for the graph paper. Those that do we'll be ready for, so we're just finding a deck that suits our playstyles rather than hard card tech.

My favourite decks always draw lots of cards and/or create obscure card advantage (see Zombie-Go and Everlasting Barrage). As such I'm pushing the envelopes on [Tilly Fiddlelight] and [Rumi of Gnomeregan]. What do they both have in common? Dimzer!

I'm slightly paranoid I won't have a deck by Saturday, as I like to know what I'm playing a week ahead of any event involving a plane and sandals. I've got an unusually large number of family commitments this week, and to top it off Dell just told me they were delivering earlier than expected so I might have to rejig my calendar. Still, I have played with an iteration of seven of the eight Top 8 decks from NACC, so I'd not be playing blind at any rate.

I just want to draw cards and then drown my opponent with my giant hands! Is that so much to ask?

To close, here is the awesome poster my girlfriend made to sum up the deluge on the CZE site these last few days (i'm taking all the kudos for the wording though!)

http://farm6.static.flickr.com/5237/5861242895_803cc0966b.jpg
More ...
Tags: Journey to the Core,Jack Fejer,WoW TCG,EUCC,Egg
http://www.dailymetagame.com/Blogs/tabid/134/EntryId/25/Blog-is-Jacimo-Day-2.aspx#Comments 0 http://www.dailymetagame.com/Blogs/tabid/134/EntryId/25/Blog-is-Jacimo-Day-2.aspx Thu, 23 Jun 2011 00:05:00 GMT http://www.dailymetagame.comDesktopModules/BlogTrackback.aspx?id=25 Journey to the Core Jack Fejer WoW TCG EUCC Egg Blog is Jacimo - Easter is Coming http://www.dailymetagame.com/Blogs/tabid/134/EntryId/24/Blog-is-Jacimo-Easter-is-Coming.aspx
Don't worry folks, this is not another post about some honky tonk come deck that demonises the game. I've got nothing more to say on the subject until Patrick Sullivan of GGSLive fame gives us the official CZE opinion.

No no, instead I'm going to talk about my upcoming PPV event, the EUCC in Rimini. Having been forced to skip the World Cup due to store shenanigans I'm really looking forward to flopping some cards with the best Europe has to offer.

I've completely forgone testing anything until now because I like to have a meta to play with, and I was slightly worried that with the Totem changes and a whole new set that I'd miss something fundamental whilst I was busy putting 4 [Dimzer the Prestidigitator] into [Searing Light] and Everlasting Barrage.

I've spent today at work, but i've been busy grinding the idea gears none the less. The first thing I noticed was that players are really trying to stay off of Tuskarr Kite if they can, or if they're on it having other draw options. It's pretty sage strategy, especially given how many Searing Light decks both Alliance and Horde came out of Realms.

I'm working a busy schedule tomorrow as well, but I'm preparing around my own advice of 'play what you know'. Even if it is legal, I don't have time to really learn Egg Solitaire although I'm lucky to already have all the cards for it. I'm spending my time tweaking the New Jersey concoction and several Dimzer powered decks to augment any draw power I might have access to. I really like cards, it's a shame I want to euthanise every Gnome on sight. I might even build a Warlock aggro deck around [Turane Soulpact] for ultimate trollage.

If only we still had [Fizzle] or [Nether Fracture].

Tags: Journey to the Core,Jack Fejer,WoW TCG,EUCC
http://www.dailymetagame.com/Blogs/tabid/134/EntryId/24/Blog-is-Jacimo-Easter-is-Coming.aspx#Comments 0 http://www.dailymetagame.com/Blogs/tabid/134/EntryId/24/Blog-is-Jacimo-Easter-is-Coming.aspx Tue, 21 Jun 2011 21:53:00 GMT http://www.dailymetagame.comDesktopModules/BlogTrackback.aspx?id=24 Journey to the Core Jack Fejer WoW TCG EUCC
